Pornhub has decided to let women on periods free access to the website's premium services

A lot of people are still uncomfortable with the idea menstruation. And with the idea of women masturbating. Now imagine the two of them together. Well, Pornhub has and has actually decided to do something about it.

Why?

Well,A good orgasm can shorten the length of your period, reduce cramps, help you deal with mood swings, and generally make you feel brilliant. Pornhub has just launched F*ck Your Period, a snazzy new campaign to encourage women to watch porn and get off when women are on periods. How will they encourage us, you may ask? With free porn, of course. Pornhub will now provide women with free access to their high-definition, premium service, Pornhub Premium, for the duration of their periods.

If you head to the F*ck Your Period website, you’ll be asked to answer questions about your menstrual cycle in order to calculate the arrival and duration of your next period (kind of like your regular period-tracking app). Then, the day your period arrives, you’ll receive an email from Pornhub inviting you to enjoy full access to Pornhub premium for the rest of your period.That’ll happen every month for the next three months.

Of course, you might not need porn to masturbate when you’re on your period, but having access to decent quality stuff is handy. Plus a monthly reminder of the benefits of masturbating while menstruating might bring us out of our period cramp misery.

Pornhub brand manager Alexandra Klein tells us she hopes the campaign will get rid of the shame and awkwardness around having sex and masturbating on your period.‘It shouldn’t be something women feel self-conscious about,’ Alexandra told Metro.co.uk. ‘Many women themselves are able to comfortable discuss and even joke about sex on their periods – and at Pornhub we’re all about breaking taboos and starting conversations. ‘We think this one was way overdue and wanted to shed some light on it. ‘It’s 2018 and no one should ever feel awkward or ashamed about their bodies. This feeling is ubiquitous to all people as everyone should feel confident and be able to talk about things that happen to them – no matter what stigma accompanies it.’
