This sounds straight out of a Bollywood love story - a drop-dead handsom man decides to marry a fat, bulky woman and then inspires her to transform into a svelte, ravishing princess. That's the story of Anjali, an interior designer and wife of Kabul Chawla, the owner of BPTP, one of India's fastest growing real estate companies.

"It was love at first sight when I first saw him at a meeting arranged by my parents. I used to weigh 80 kg then and I was sure he will not marry me," says Anjali who weighs a cool 46 kg today. Life of course had better designs for her who has been blissfully married for 15 years and is the mother of a 13-year-old.

So what was the one thing that made this marriage happen? "My husband was always a visionary. He told me that with the kind of face you have, I was sure that if you lose weight, you would indeed be the best looking woman around." A courtship period that lasted for four long years was "bad" recalls the lady. "We were so different, just like chalk and cheese. But as the years passed by, he's become me and I've become him." It was in 2000 after the birth of her baby when she weighed 100 kg that she challenged herself to lose weight. The result, as we see today, is of course awesome.
