"Oh! She's thin as a stick", "Oh, look at that taklu", "My God! He's fat as a potato"--whether you admit it or not, we're all guilty of making such mean comments on people based on their appearances. If you plead guilty too, the story of Larry Gomez aka Wolf Man, the hairiest man in the world will make sure you never repeat this mistake.

The man from California suffers from a rare genetic disorder called congenital generalized hypertrichosis due to which 98% of his body--including his face--is covered with thick, dark hair.

This obviously was a confidence breaker for Larry, who was severely bullied in school for being"different".

However, the man has turned his biggest weakness into his biggest strength as he now enjoys the title of Wolf Man.

The name was inspired from the main character Lawrence's name in the 1941 Hollywood movie The Wolf Man and now it has become synonymous with the man's identity.

That's not it. The same hair has won him various accolades.

In February 2000, Larry and his three family members (who also happen to be suffering from the same condition) got a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the hairiest family.

In fact, in 2007 Larry was also seen in the Hollywood movie Water For Elephants, alongside Robert Pattinson and Reeese Witherspoon.

Now, Larry might be one of those people who had the courage to win the odds. But not all people have the same courage. So won't it be better if we showed some sensitivity, stopped judging people, and most importantly-stopped being mean to them? Think about it.
