For those who blindly place their trust in fortune tellers, let this story serve as an eye opener. Like many others in the world, China-based 70-year-old Wang visited a fortune teller to know what future had in store for her. Her world came crashing down, when the fortune teller said that she would not live to see 2018. So, the poor woman spent the whole last year preparing for her death and living in fear.

And now for the twist. Come 2018, she did not pass away. Seething in anger, she went back to the fortune teller in Mianyang in southwestern Sichuan province and vandalized his stall.

"I was terrified when the fortune-teller told me I wouldn't be able to live until the end of last year. I worried every day," said Wang in an interview to Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post. This week, she ran into the same fortune teller at a park. Seeing him filled her with anger. So, she took out her frustration on his stall and vandalized it. Seeing the ruckus, a police officer rushed to the spot. But, when he got to know the details, he made the fortune teller apologize to Wang instead for causing stress.

Well! serves him right.
