  • Afghanistan, a word synonym with women oppression and gender brutality! The name alone paints a picture of pathos, ruin, and despotism. A recent mob lynching of a young Afghan woman, who was accused of blasphemy, validates the fact, that the country is nothing more than a banana republic.

    While the world has evolved over the last two decades, Afghanistan on the other hand has regressed to the stone age.

    One blaring disparity between now and then, is in the lives of common Afghan women. An almost extinct sight now, the cobbled streets of Kabul were filled with women walking to college and work, dressed in vibrant colours and flaunting fashion to their heart's content in the 1950's.

    While pictures speak louder than words, we bring to you a shocking revelation of the anguished transition.
