There are rumours that Pratyusha might be nominated as a Bigg Boss inmate.

She was also a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, on Colors TV channel but got eliminated in the earlier rounds because she was facing health issues. She bowed out of the soap on 2nd March 2013.

On 2nd march 2013, she opted out of show Balika Vadhu. She was replaced by Toral Rasputra.

She won the role to appear as an older Anandi because of a five-year leap in the program's storyline, through an SMS poll.

In 2010, Pratyusha Banerjee began appearing as the protagonist Anandi in the television series Balika Vadhu, first aired on the Colors TV channel.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Pratyusha may also become a part of seventh season of reality show " Bigg Boss".

She featured in the dancing reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5" as well.

Pratyusha had stepped into the shoes of popular child star Avika Gor as the grown-up Anandi in "Balika Vadhu" in 2010 when the show took a five-year leap. But then she quit the show as she was unable to cope with the hectic working schedules that the show demanded.

"I know my fans are a bit angry with me as I have been away from them for quite long. But now the wait is over and soon I will come back. Just think that this (my birthday party) is my comeback party," Pratyusha, who turned 22 Saturday, said at her birthday celebrations.

She has certainly gone for a makeover after quitting the show. She has not just lost weight but has also got her hair coloured.

She looked pretty in a yellow dress, so much different from the Anandi she played.
