The star dyed her hair blond for a shampoo commercial in her teens and it stayed the same colour since. Monroe became an icon after her death in 1962, at the age of 36. She had relationships with a string of famous men during her life, including playwright Arthur Miller, who was one of her three husbands, and allegedly US President John F. Kennedy.
