The model is the latest celebrity to take out an insurance policy of their most valuable body parts. Only recently, supermodel Heidi Klum is said to have got her legs insured for $ 1 million, while singer Jennifer Lopez was reported to have insured her bottom for $ 27 million.

Despite splitting with Hefner in 2008, she filmed the sixth series of the show which also featured his latest girlfriend Crystal Harris who ended up jilting the Playboy founder at the altar earlier this year.

All three lived with 84 year old Hefner at the Playboy mansion and the series followed their day to day activities. After moving into the Playboy mansion in 2001 she was considered Hefner's favourite girlfriend, but the relationship ended in 2008 over his refusal to get married.

She said she decided to protect her 36D boobs while appearing in a Las Vegas burlesque show called Peepshow. Madison, 31, said: "I've heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not, because if anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars," she said. "I thought I'd cover my assets." Madison appears topless during parts of the show and accepted her breasts were by far her biggest selling point to fans.
