Past winners of Miss World

  • Miss World 2000, the 50th Miss World pageant, was held on November 30 at the Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom. The pageant's swimsuit segment was filmed in the Maldives. The pageant was won by Priyanka Chopra, the fifth Indian Miss World and the second consecutive winner from India.

  • Rosanna Diane Davison (born on April 17, 1984 in Dublin, Ireland), is an Irish socialite and model, and was the winner of the Miss World 2003 title. She is the daughter of musician Chris De Burgh. The song For Rosanna was written by her father in her honour for his 1986 album, Into the Light.

  • Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir, born on May 25, 1984 in Reykjavík Iceland, was a former winner of the Miss Iceland pageant. She was crowned Miss World 2005 on December 10 in the Beauty Crown Theatre located in the Chinese beach city of Sanya, by the reigning beauty queen, 2004's Miss Peru Maju Mantilla.

  • Tatana Kucharova from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2006 by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. Miss World 2006, the 56th Miss World pageant, was held at Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium at the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw, Poland on the September 30.

    Miss World 2010, the 60th Miss World pageant was held on October 30, 2010, in Sanya, People's Republic of China, after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar crowned her successor Alexandria Mills of the United States as Miss World 2010.
