Hot eye shades to look sexy

1. If you are bored with your eye colour, try wearing coloured lenses for a change. We love the new Aqua shade from Bausch & Lomb.

2. Line both the lash lines with a deep-purple pencil like YSL Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Long-Lasting Waterproof Eye Pencil in Ultramarine. Smudge the line and blend with a Q-tip.

3. Blend in a matte lilac shadow like Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow in Purple Passion on the entire lid.

4. Run a soft-brown eye pencil along the eye rim. Try M.A.C Eye Pencil in Coffee.

5. Use a cream-coloured eyeshadow just under the brow to highlight the area.

6. Sign off with Givenchy Phenomenal Eyes Mascara.

Matte Morphosis
Large, doe eyes look gorgeous and offer a canvas for experimenting with several colours. However, the key is not to exaggerate. So keep it to one signature, deep-matte hue that looks chic and isn't too dramatic.

1. Colour the entire lid with a silver eye pencil like Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner in Silver. Run it along the lower lash line as well, and smudge.

2. Blend Dior Rouge Dior Eyeshadow in Smokey Black in a V-shape along the outer corner and crease.

3. Highlight the inner corner with Givenchy Le Prisme Yeux Mono in Hip Grey.

4. Line the rims of the eyes with Lakme Nine to Five Kohl Ultimate.

5. Thicken lashes with double coats of Maybelline Volum Express Hyper Curl Mascara.

6. Blend a warm-toned blush along the cheekbone.

7. Keep lips soft, with a beige or rosy-peach lipstick. We like Guerlain Rouge G Le Brilliant in Beatrix.

Molten Metallic
Round eyes look beautiful when visually elongated. Simply add dark shadow on and just past the outer corner of the eye.

1. Blend foundation on the entire socket before applying eye makeup. Then use silver-grey eyeshadow on the eyelid, like Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadow in No.23.

2. Use a matte charcoal eye pencil, like Inglot AMC Eye Pencil in No.89, to line the crease of the lid. This creates the illusion of bigger eyes.

3. With a waterproof black liner like Chambor Stay On Waterproof Eyeliner in Black, draw a thick line along the lash line and pull it up straight and upwards at the outer corner of the eye.

4. Dramatise the effect by drawing out the lower lash line with a bright colour like Bourjois Eye Liner in Electro Blue.

5. Coat the lashes with two coats of Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara.

Liquid Lines
Winged eyeliner helps instantly glam up your look. The pulled-out liner and vibrant colours help open up small eyes, and add sizzle and drama.

1. Mix a peach-coloured cream eyeshadow or blush with a lip gloss and apply all over the lid. Try M.A.C Cream Blush in Chive blended with Inglot 3D Lipgloss in No. 501.

2. Curl lashes with an eyelash curler. Try Chanel Recourbe Cils De Chanel Precision Eyelash Curler. Then coat lashes with a clear mascara, like Chanel Beaute Des Cils Nourishing Mascara Base.

3. Make the brows prominent. Comb them and fill in any gaps with Lancome Powder Pencil For Brows in Mahogany. This makes them look fuller and stronger.

4. Use the same M.A.C Cream Blush in Chive to flush the cheeks with a warm glow.

5. A similar-coloured lipstick topped with a gloss, completes the look. We like L'Occitane Lipstick in Rose Pique and Lip Shine in Rose Ballerina.
