  • Use Honey

    Potatoes have natural bleaching agents that can lighten dark circles and help you get rid of puffiness. Grate a chilled potato to extract its juice; soak a cotton ball in it, and apply it on your eyelids. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. Follow it up with a gentle eye cream. Chilled potato slices applied over the dark circles also help.

  • Apply tomato paste

    Tomato paste is one of the most effective remedies for dark circles. You can make it easily at home. Take one or two fresh tomatoes, one tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of gram flour and turmeric powder. Blend these ingredients nicely until they become a thick paste and apply it very gently around your eyes. Rinse it off gently with clean water after 10 or 20 minutes.

    Apply cool tea bags or an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth to your eyes daily. The tannin in tea bags reduces swelling and discoloration. Lie down, preferably in the morning, and leave the cool and damp caffeinated tea bags over your eyes for about 10-15 minutes. Keep your eyes closed. You can refrigerate them overnight so they will be ready in the morning.
