Fashion's high magic at Couture Week

Delhi Couture Week, which begins today is being looked upon as the ultimate fashion event that would showcase the works of India's high priests of fashion.

The fashion extravaganza that will be held at the Taj in the national capital will begin with designer Varun bahl's show where Madhuri, the eternal fashion diva has agreed to be the show stopper.

SynergyOne Delhi Couture Week is a five day event and is expected to pull the gltiz and glam of Bollywood to define its fashion features in the most deliberate details.

Many bollywood stars are slated to walk for their fave designers and couturiers at a handsome starting from 10 lakhs.

While Sonakshi Sinha will do the showstopping act for designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon and Dia Mirza will walk the ramp for Manav Gangwani. Zarine Khan will showcase the designs of Adarsh Gill.

Sharmila Tagore will be the showstopper for designers Ashima and Leena. Manish Malhotra is the only designer who has chosen not to include any cine star in his show.

Karisma Kapur, who had promised to walk for designer Anju Modi has suddenly pulled back siting personal reasons, while the insiders rave that she wasn't too happy with the money offered and wanted much more.
