Have you too been denied the freedom to wear what you like, when you like?

 

It's always been this way. You're simply told not wear something for the most absurd reasons such as 'It's not right' or because 'It's not how we do it'. The world uses religion, culture, and crime statistics to defend its beliefs about what a woman should wear. From being called 'gande ghar ki ladki' to been accused of 'leading the way to hell'--we've heard it all. So, here are six women who talk about the restrictions that were placed on them, and how they outgrew it. After all, every act of defiance, no matter how small, is an act of courage.
