At a time when Censor Board refuses to acknowledge 'lady oriented' films, this AIB video is a must watch

The Censor Board of India recently refused to give certification to Lipstick Under My Burkha on the accounts of it being 'lady oriented'. While the debate around women's desires and their absence from Bollywood brews, All India Bakchod (AIB) has released a video celebrating women's sexuality.

The video, titled A Woman's Besties, at first glance seems like a social meeting between between roommates. However, when it casually starts naming the women, we realize that this meeting is more than what meets the eye.

Mallika Dua plays Priya, who is having a tough time while waiting for the result of her home pregnancy test. She introduces us to her besties Vagayenti (vagina), Clitika (clitoris), and Geeta-Boobita (breasts), who're all in a frenzy because of the situation.

Of course later we realize that Vagayanti, Clitika, Geeta, and Boobita, and later Anu S, are only word play. And there is a moment of extreme relatability when they show Hymen hung on the wall in memoriam!

Vagayanti with her boss cap personifies every grievance girls have ever had. Early periods? She will show you the way. Cramps? Trust her to hit you where it hurts the most! However, it's Clitika that steals the show by being the embodiment of desire and lust!

The best part about this video is that the writers of this lovely sketch are all women! Writers Anuya Jakatdar, Manaswi Mohata, Ayesha Nair, and Supriya Joshi have managed to get through without sounding condescending.

The video very subtly champions the concept of desire that has been missing from the silver screen. It doesn't comment on or even exaggerate the protagonist's sex life. And AIB gets extra brownie points for putting in a very real and brilliant sanitary napkin advertisement!
