I'd rather enjoy good sex, than waste my life looking for 'the one'

Love is a tricky business, whether you want to admit it or not, it always ends up wreaking havoc on our minds. And all of us, one way or the other, have been brainwashed into believing in the concept of true love. Be it our movies, sit-coms, or even books--everything talks about how there is just one person for everyone.

Well, if you are one of those people, then we have some bad news for you. A study has found that people who believe in true love don't have a good sex life. And you'd have thought it was the contrary, right?

According to the study, individuals who believed in 'sexual destiny' expected satisfaction to simply happen if they thought their relationship was meant to be.

The researchers discovered that these individuals saw a lack of chemistry in the bedroom as a sign of incompatibility, and instead of working to resolve the issues or giving it time they simply ended the relationship.

So, as much as I would like to root for love, I think I would give it a pass. Why? Simply because the whole concept of "the one" is a capitalistic concept and I would chose sex over it any day. Hear me out before you term me as a heartless cold b*tch.

Our Movies Have Given Us Way Too Many Unrealistic Expectations
You cannot disagree with the fact that all our movies ever did was to propagate this idea that there's no greater truth to life than true love. But how much is it actually true when it comes to real life? Zilch. Zero.

People part ways, even when they have promised each other to stay forever. Leaving the heartbroken and over-sensitive lot with songs like Kya Hua Tera Wada to hum for the rest of their lives.

Sex Is Fun, Love Not So Much
I don't even want to talk about the big O, because that needs no explanation. That is the best thing in the world, even better than chocolate sometimes--provided your partner knows what they are doing! Sex only gets better and better with time.

However, love breaks you. Even if you both are too much in love and things are going fine, friction will creep up and bring bitterness along with it.

Who Has The Time To Look For Love When Sex Is So Easy To Find
If you live in the day and age of casual sex, you'll probably agree with the fact that sex has become much easier. People are less inhibited when it comes to talking about what they want in the sheets.

Given how sex is easily served to us on a platter and love requires work--why wouldn't anyone chose to indulge purely in carnal pleasure. No, I'm not saying I'm lazy, it's just there's no guarantee that two people will always be on the same page.

Sex Is A Cure For The Headache That Love Triggers
How many times have you wished to break-up your partner because they got on your nerves a little too much, leading to a headache? You don't even have to answer that question, because I already know it.

Sex, however, is scientifically proven to cure headaches. In fact, a study conducted by University of Munster, Germany in 2013 suggested that having sex can be more effective than taking painkillers when it comes to treating headaches.

The Only Expectation You Have From Sex Is A Happy Ending
Before you interpret happy ending as the ones described in those fairy tales, let me clear it out that I'm talking about orgasms.

Once you achieve that, there's nothing else you'd want. However, love makes you go crazy because there are too many expectations. And we all know that expectations can lead to frustration and disappointment, which ruins a relationship, creating further expectations.

Do you see what I'm trying to say here? Even if you are someone who thinks they have found the love of their life, you know deep down that you are plagued by insecurities. You also know that sex is actually the solution to everything.

You are in a terrible mood? Have sex, let oxytocin and seratonin take over your body. Your boss is driving you up the wall? Have sex, obviously not with your boss, but just you know with someone else. You are left alone in the city because your friends moved out? Have sex, plenty of it, forget about everything else.

Having said that, please make sure you indulge in safe sex. Sex is only fun when you don't have to worry about pregnancy and STDs. So yeah, jump in the bed, do the nasty and you'll thank me later.
