My entire relationship was an April Fool's Day prank. Surprise!

I live life queen-size, which is why a day of being pranked was just not enough for me.

You know how people switching to 'in a relationship' on Facebook as an April Fool's Day prank is as common as dirt? However, what's dirtier is when certain people care about those 1000-something Facebook friends including Angel Priya and Yo Yo Rahul more, and choose to play such pranks with their own partners. In fact, these people are so magnanimous that they don't fool their partners on one particular day of the year. They do it throughout the course of their relationship.

Unfortunately, the man of my dreams (nightmares I mean, I was only trying to fool you there) happened to be a part of that league too. And needless to say, I was his favourite, or should I say only, subject. The funny guy didn't just stop at one lie, he made sure that the entire frickin' relationship was a full-fledged prank on me.

It started with, "you seem so different than the rest". Yes of course, I was different because any girl in her sane mind would have been able to see through those ripped muscles, fake smile, and shitty intentions.

"I think, I am falling head-over-heels for you", was next in line. Maybe he meant 'stooping' instead of 'falling'--stooping low enough to play with someone's heart. Well yes, he wasn't exactly lying there, or was he?

The third one was epic: "I've never felt this way for anyone else." Clearly, what he meant was that he had never seen the potential to be as foolish in anyone else before me. Oops! My bad.

Then there were, "you look great in whatever you wear"; "sorry baby, my phone was on silent mode"; "I don't feel like checking out other women" amongst many others. The last one though made me realize my potential to turn a guy gay. Come on! He lost his will to check out other women? May be all these years, my parents too decided to trick me into believing I was any less than a superhuman with such powers!

All said and done, the award-winning blow was when he looked into my eyes and said, "I love you and I will never leave you." Who gave the Oscar to Leonardo DiCaprio? My ex-boyfriend deserved it more! Or maybe, his real name is Leonardo D*ckaprio and he lied to me about that as well.

God! Is there any truth in the world? Or maybe he wanted to play Mr. India too which is why he left? These creative actors I tell you. Tsk Tsk.
