If only they could say out loud the five-letter-word 'sorry' just as easily as they say 'I love you'.

There's no denying the fact that relationships aren't all fun and games. In every relationship, there are low phases and fights as well. But, what's truly frustrating is when you're the one who always ends up apologizing to your partner irrespective of whose mistake it is.

No, it's not about playing the blame-game, it's just that it can be very difficult to put up with a guy, who never admits his mistake.

But, hold on girls, what we might tell you next may (or may not) equip you with some patience to deal with the I-am-always-right attitude of your man.

According to a study conducted by researchers from Caltech, the Wharton School, Western University, and ZRT Laboratory, there is a 'legitimate reason for this excessive stubbornness. And fortunately or unfortunately, the reason is same as the reason behind their sex drive--the male hormone testosterone. Yes ladies, men with higher levels of testosterone tend to think they're right, even when they're wrong, more often than others do.

"The testosterone is either inhibiting the process of mentally checking your work or increasing the intuitive feeling that 'I'm definitely right." said Colin Camerer, a professor of behavioural economics at Caltech, who worked on the study.

This conclusion was made only after observing around 243 men who were randomly selected to receive either a dose of testosterone gel or a placebo gel before they were given a test with simple mathematical and logical problems.

"What we found was the testosterone group was quicker to make snap judgements on brain teasers where your initial guess is usually wrong," explained Camerer.

He also was quick to point out the confidence-boosting powers of testosterone in men as the reason why they think they're right even when they aren't: "We think it works through confidence enhancement. If you're more confident, you'll feel like you're right and will not have enough self-doubt to correct mistakes," he said.

Now that you know the reason behind your man's egoistic approach, you've got to realize the fact that you now have to deal with the consequences of his hormones just as much as your own. All the best with that, ladies.
