Isn't it so frustrating when you're dressed to the nines all excited for that romantic date you've planned for weeks and your partner just doesn't show up on time? He could just be 15-20 minutes late, but while waiting,  each minute seems like a year, right?

In all probability, after initial altercation, you simply ignore his lack of punctuality in life in order to avoid spoiling the mood. But now it seems that you've got to take it more seriously. Because you know what? It can hamper your relationship.

According to a recent survey conducted by Rescue Remedy, waiting for your partner causes 30 arguments a year.

That's roughly two-three arguments a month and say, one argument a week. Now, you could actually argue that arguments are healthy, but what happens when there are too many of them happening too often?

The point is that apart from facing adjustment problems, the time-spending struggles, and sorting possessiveness issues amongst countless other relationship complications, you also have an additional burden of fighting over punctuality of your partner if he has this recurring problem of making it to on time to meet you. And this could hamper your relationship.

"For many couples, they will be familiar with the scenario of one of them waiting around for the other one, who is still getting ready," a spokesman for Rescue Remedy said.

Highlighting the frustration that comes with dealing with a partner who is always late, he added, "But this can result in both of you being late--something those who are organized will hate. So, it's not surprising to see this leads to so many rows within the nation's households - adding to the worry and stress which already comes from being late."

Although the survey that questioned 2,000 adults found that women are typically the ones who are usually late, but it didn't even rule out the possibility of women being more vocal about their folly that led to this result. Moreover, it clearly states that women are also better prepared and more organized.

Now that you know what a big threat your lack of punctuality can pose to your relationship, we hope that you start taking it seriously.
