Oh my my! You are going to have trouble believing what we are about to tell you because we did too. And here it is: contrary to popular myths and beliefs, women are attracted to short and pudgy men and not tall hunks. Now, this one is a total shocker because women have always looked for partners who are taller than them. But, this no longer seems to the case.

According to a report published in the Independent, a new study by Match.com--which analysed the profiles of millions of members--women generally fancy short men. This goes against everything anyone has ever said ever about what most women find attractive.

True that!

Now, this comes as a contradiction because earlier studies had stated that women prefer tall men. In fact, according to a study published in the journal Science Direct, height is one of the main factors women care about most in a man. Well, this is nowhere close to the findings of the dating website , which analysed its members' dating preferences to gather what makes a man desirable in 2017. And now we know what it is. Moreover, it was found that women these days are a sucker for dad-bods too. Well, that's a surprise too.

"What the research shows is a changing preference in what people find attractive but of course preference can't predict compatibility. The idea of a 'perfect partner' doesn't exist so be open-minded about the types of people that you could be attracted to!" says Match's dating expert Vicky Pavitt in an interview to Independent.

Well, this sure is good news for men who lack a few inches in the height department.
