It's a bummer, really, when you finally hit the sack after a busy day--only to keep tossing and turning in bed thanks to the snorer sleeping next to you. Yup, we totally get your pain. So, while he snores away to glory, you can't catch enough Zzs because of all the noise. Now, most nights you are left with two choices. You can either kick him out of the bedroom or go and sleep on the couch yourself. Of course, it's going to be uncomfortable but at least there will be peace and quiet.

But, ladies--don't give up hope--just yet. There are a few tricks you can try that will take care of your problem. Trust us!

Make Him Sleep In This Position

Every time your partner snores the most, how do you find him sleeping? On his back, is it? Well, if you sleep on your back, it makes the base of your tongue hit the back wall of your throat. And this leads to the snoring noise. So, what you can do is make your bae change positions. Just make sure he sleeps on his side rather than on his stomach or back. This position will ensure that his tongue doesn't block the throat wall. You can also put a few pillows next to him so that he doesn't roll back.

Change Your Pillow Cover

According to a report published in the Telegraph, "People with allergies are most likely to be snorers, as their nasal passages regularly get congested. To eliminate allergens, and decrease the severity or likelihood of snoring, dust regularly and replace your pillows every six months."

You can also make him sleep on a fluffy pillow so that his head is elevated. This will help in opening the airways.

Hot Shower Helps

If the snoring is more nasal than throaty then it clearly means his nasal passage is blocked. Now, you can either try nasal drops or make him take a hot shower before bed. It will really help. "A hot shower before you go to bed can help open nasal passages. Also, keep a bottle of saltwater rinse in the shower. Rinse your nose out with it while you're showering to help open up passages," says Daniel P. Slaughter, MD, Capital Otolaryngology, USA, in an interview to WebMd.

Take the Help of White Noise

Confused? Well, don't be. It's going to be your saviour. In case you don't know what it means, then here's help: white noise can be defined as a background noise containing many frequencies with equal intensities. Now, it can come from a television static, a fan, or an AC. The point is it is soothing and it will successfully camouflage the noise made by your snoring partner.

You can also look for a white noise machine online and invest in one.
