Going through a tough break-up? Then you've got to listen to this song from Dear Zindagi
Dear heartbroken girl, let him go--to hell.
Karan Johar, it seems, is the new torch-bearer for all the heart-broken aashiqs out there. After the foot-tapping Break-Up song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the director-producer has come up with yet another break-up number in his new production venture, Dear Zindagi starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. Except, this time it is way more heart-touching.
Composed by Amit Trivedi, the song shows Alia Bhatt's intense struggle of dealing with a heartbreak. The song is sure to reach the soul of every girl who has ever nursed a broken heart. Because you know what? It is that real and well, relatable.
Plus Alia's expressions! Oh my god! Blame it on her recent string of unsuccessful relationships, or just good, actually, out-of the-f***ing-world acting skills--Alia effortlessly hits the right cord in the video. With every teardrop we get a sense that it's Alia who's going through these emotions and not just playing a character. Hell, our hearts go out to the helpless girl who is every bit lost and clueless after separating from the love of her life.
Actually, with English Vinglish director, Gauri Shinde at the helm of this project, we couldn't expect anything less. After all, who else could understand and portray the helplessness, the confusion and the utter frustration of not being able to get your ex out of your mind, better?

A special shout-out to Kausar Munir's soulful lyrics and Sunidhi Chauhan's melodious voice. A great number after a long time Sunidhi. Keep 'em coming, we say.
As for the one who broke your heart: Just Go To Hell.
