It's difficult being an Indian woman--when you're constantly under scrutiny to look a certain way. But the struggle doesn't end there, because the society will never accept you no matter what you do. Whether you're thin or fat, tiny or tall, you'll be ridiculed and shamed for it. Even our Bollywood movies don't shy away from body shaming.  And the trauma of being shamed never leaves, it haunts you like that nightmare that never ceases to end.
Here, the women from Team OddNaari open up about their experiences of being bodyshamed. For some it started at home, where they were criticized for being too thin or too tall. For others, it was the bullying at school that marred their confidence with doubt. From how it's changed the way they dress to the grave side-effects being body shamed has had on them as adults--these are hard-hitting tales every Indian woman can relate to. Because these are the perils of being an Indian woman.
