Maybe he's born with that flair. Maybe it's Maybelline.

Iconic make-up brand and every college girl's favourite--Maybelline New York is creating a lot of buzz for its recently launched campaign, That Boss Life for their, Big Shot Mascara. Take a chill-pill, girls. Your go-to make-up brand is in the news for all the right reasons.

Maybelline has created history by appointing popular make-up and beauty blogger Manny Gutierrez as the face of this campaign, alongside beauty blogger, Shayla Mitchell. You read that right--a male digital influencer for a women's cosmetic brand. Don't believe us? Check out the campaign advertisement here and watch him slaying it like a boss, literally.

Actually, this shouldn't come as a surprise, considering that Maybelline has always been synonymous with daring and confident women breaking stereotypes. After all, no one can forget those glamorous and confident AF women walking fiercely through the busy streets of New York City, authoritatively saying out the brand's recent tagline--"Make It Happen." Make. It. Happen."

Well, they did make it happen-finally. However, Maybelline isn't the first beauty brand to have challenged the gender norms that exist in the make-up industry. In the past, brands like Stila and NYX have featured male make-up enthusiasts on their social media platforms. Taking this game a notch higher, last year, make-up brand, CoverGirl appointed beauty blogger, James Charles as their first-ever male face.

So it may not be the first time, but it's definitely a great start. Looking forward to breaking more of these stereotypes in future.
