All our lives we've stuck to the conventional rules of drinking alcohol. Hence whiskey is 'supposed to' be consumed either on the rocks or with mixers like soft drinks, soda, and juices. While wine is 'supposed to be' served cold, and drunk undiluted.

But, how about swapping the rules of drinking for a change? Though, drinking whiskey neat like wine is disastrous for your liver, but having wine on the rocks is a great idea.

According to a report published in The Independent, adding ice cubes to wine is a legitimate way of enjoying this mildly-alcoholic beverage.

All you've got to do is to pour your wine in a wine glass and add a couple of ice cubes to it. And boom! Your perfect summer drink will be ready in a jiffy. You can sip on this diluted and cold alcoholic drink to beat the heat without worrying about ruining the taste because you know what? Even experts have given a green signal to this new way of drinking.

It's a Blessing In Disguise For Beginners
Remember when you had your first ever sip of beer, you almost wanted to throw up thanks to its pungent taste? Well, the case with wine is quite similar. Even though it is sweeter in comparison, developing a taste for this alcoholic beverage isn't all that easy.

If you've already tried the smell-its-aroma-and-take-small-sips rule of drinking wine and have still not managed to come to terms with its sweet-and-sour taste, you can cash in on the power of ice to finally fall in love with it.

After all, a couple of ice cubes can dilute your drink and make it more palatable. Not to mention, the colder the wine, the less receptive the taste buds will be. Hence, the flavour and aroma of your drink won't seem too strong and you can gradually get used to it.

In Fact, The Lazy Girls Will Love It Too

There is no denying the fact that when the weather outside is sweltering hot, all you feel like doing is staying indoors and chilling. So you most definitely aren't in the mood to make preparations and move your ass off the couch to keep a bottle of wine in the refrigerator and wait for it to cool.

In this case, you can simply take the bottle out of your collection, throw in a couple of ice cubes, and just sip on the cold beverage without much effort. What else do you want from life?
