Why the hypocrisy Facebook? If men can bare nipples, why can't women?

This is confusing as hell!

Try searching for 'Male Fitness Models' on Facebook, and you will come across a plethora of half-clad, bare-chested, steroid-pumped hunks, adoring your news feed. Now, search for Japleen Pasricha and you will probably come across a blocked page. Why, you ask? Well, this New Delhi-based writer posted an article on women's breasts on Facebook, last week. OK! So, what's the big deal, you wonder out loud. Well, let us break it down for you: Pasricha, who is the founder and editor-in-chief at Feminism in India, was accused of violating the code of conduct--thus, the diktat.

Her post included a 'graphic' image of women's breast. Good lord! How dare she--gasp many out loud. According to popular notion, breasts are meant for two purposes only. One--for breastfeeding; second--for ogling! Anything beyond that is bullshit and no one really gives a damn. For years, feminists have been shouting themselves hoarse, pleading the world to accept breasts as a normal body part--just like chests. But, no. That's one thing we will never agree to. How can chests and breasts be equal?

When men post pictures of their bare torsos, all pumped-up and sweaty, no one bats an eyelid. But, God forbid, if a woman dares to enlighten the world with an intellectual post--the wolves descend.

While, Facebook on one hand turns a blind eye to the pages containing pictures of half-nude male models, it was quick to 'defend' the modesty of women and ban the post uploaded by Pasricha. In fact, it further went on to block her account, stating that she had violated the policies of the social media giant. You see, Facebook does not allow female breasts to be displayed if they have nipples. But without them, you are good to go. Now, how on earth are you going to get rid of nature's bestowment? The point is: why is it okay for men to have nipples and display them but not women? And those who talk about it or question this paradox are viciously attacked by patriarchs, and slut-shamed. The problem is--breasts have been sexualised since times immemorial, but chests, not so. Thus, the mere mention of word breast or a picture of the sets is considered indecency. And that's because we have a deeply engrained, highly sexualized notion of lady parts. In fact, in an interview with the Buzzfeed, Pasricha revealed that her account was once suspended for uploading a post on the rape and murder of Thangjam Manorama by the Indian army. "People need to stop sexualising women's bodies. Facebook has never had a problem with men's nipples or banned people for it", she said. Yes lady, we agree with that.
