This is the problem with men watching porn

Ladies, we're sure that your man's love for watching porn movies doesn't particularly go down too well with you. But despite that,  all this while you must have been reluctant about asking him to stop because you really don't want to come across as intrusive or insecure or whatever it is that goes in your head.

However, now, you have a perfectly scientific reason to stop your man from watching porn.  According to a recent study conducted at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, men who start watching pornography at a young age are more likely to become misogynistic individuals, who crave power over women.

"We found that the younger a man was when he first viewed pornography, the more likely he was to want power over women," said Alyssa Bischmann, a doctoral student at the university who presented the research.

As it is, there's no dearth of misogyny in our lives, and unrealistic porn movies simply make our case worse. But wait! That's not the only downside to men watching porn.

"The goal of our study was to examine how age of first exposure to pornography, and the nature of said first exposure, predicts conformity to two masculine norms,'" explained Bischmann.

The other "masculine norm" she referred to is the likelihood of porn-watchers becoming sexually promiscuous in life.  

"The older a man was when he first viewed pornography, the more likely he would want to engage in playboy behavior," said Bischmann.

So now you know that your reasons for stopping men from watching porn have got more to do with science and more importantly--the welfare of the society and of women. We hope that porn doesn't become another misogyny-inculcating burden on our heads. Fingers crossed.
