Adele may have bought a lavish mansion worth seven million pounds in West Sussex, South England, but success hasn't affected her head.

"Adele is as down-to-earth as ever. She hasn't changed with her success, she is who she is. She's quite thrifty with her money; she knows not to throw it around. She's not a waster, she wasn't brought up to waste," said Adkins.

Adele, 24, recently won an Oscar for the song "Skyfall".

"Adele's parents still treat her the same way as before. She also does chores. She doesn't get any special treatment, of course not. Why would she? There are many nieces, nephews and grandchildren in the family so no one gets any special treatment. They are all treated the same," said Adkins.

Adele has a six-month-old son Angelo with partner Simon Konecki.
