Wearing a bra in this heat sucks. But thanks to lecherous men, I have to wear it everyday

It's difficult to breathe in a bra but the shame is too much to bear.

I have a million reasons to hate summer. For starters--it's really hot and I end up sweating like a pig all day. Not very pleasant, let me tell you. Plus, stepping out in the heat makes my skin burn. However, all this is nothing in comparison to what my breasts have to endure during this horrid weather. I am talking about the devil of the fabric called bras here. Man! They are such a pain.

Now, all you women out there will probably understand what I am hinting at. But, for all the men, who obviously don't how wearing a bra really feels like, allow me to translate my misery into words. Imagine your chest being constricted with barbed wires and tight straps digging into your flesh. And if that's not bad enough, imagine a sweat of pool constantly forming under your shirt and you can't do much about it. Just imagine something trapping your body in this God-awful heat that makes breathing difficult. Sounds terrible, doesn't it?

Well, this is how we women feel after wearing a bra in summer. It wouldn't be an exaggeration when I say that I spend all my day waiting for the moment I will be home so that I can free myself from the clutches of the wretched contraption. So, don't blame me when I envy men who have the luxury of walking shirtless without any garments making their lives difficult.

Alas! If only women could afford to walk the streets without a bra plaguing their existence. But, that's not a possibility, is it? Why? Because once the bra is off, the rules of physics come to play.

Just a couple of days ago, I tried walking to a departmental store, a few blocks away from my house. It was dark, so I presumed no would notice if I went braless for a few minutes. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The moment I stepped out and started walking, I notice some lecherous men squinting hard at me with a smirk on their faces. It's did take much time to put two and two together. Obviously, their hawk eyes were set on my breasts, carefully monitoring my walk.

Needless to say, it made me feel disgusted. If that's what happened during the hour of twilight, which is kind enough to camouflage a lot of things, I can't begin to imagine what would happen during the day if I showed the courage of going to work without a bra. I don't mind being a head-turner, but not for putting my breasts on display.

There are times when pray for a world where women did not have to wear a bra at all. Oh! What a pleasant world would that be? A paradise where no men started at their lady bits, making them feel sickened.

And you know what? The thing that irks me the most is the fact that I can totally go out without the support of a bra, but it's the sexist gaze that makes me put it on every day, even when I don't want to.
