If you are even a little familiar with the Internet and social media, you'd know what trolls are. These anonymous users lurk online trying to be witty and nasty at the same time.

Trolls are not only utterly useless, but also harmful for the general well-being of social media users. They lack a life and most of their time is spent looking for a bakra they can latch onto!

And if you're a woman, then your gender is enough to bring about a wave of trolls who think it's okay to just take your case, because you know what--why not?

Well, here are a few types of trolls, that every woman on the Internet has had the misfortune of dealing with at least once!

The Mansplainer Trolls
These are the most common ones that a woman will encounter on social media. They will discredit everything you say--because they are men and think they know everything. Sometimes they'll even paraphrase what you were saying and try to prove you wrong.
What to do: Beat them at their own game. Just like this woman did.

The I-Will-Capitalize-Everything Troll
Basically the screamer on the Internet. Everyone who's aware of online etiquette will know that using caps lock key refers to as screaming. But there are some who like to shout their opinion, and it will seem they are breathing down your neck as they are doing so.

What to do: Steal their keyboard away! Or you can just block--because reading too many capitalized letters can give you a headache. Trust us.

The Grammar Nazis
They will hunt you down for even a small error in your punctuation. Guess who took their English lessons way too seriously?

What to do: Start using SMS lingo to piss them off. Ask them "Hw u dng? Y u no shut up?" Or just tell them your office has an opening for a proofreader!

The I-Will-Never-Get-Your-Point Troll
These kind of trolls are the extra special ones. They will never get your point no matter how much you explain it to them, but will continue to argue. They will get offended at everything and can't tell humour and sarcasm apart!

What to do: Use emojis, lots of them, when you interact with them.

The Haters
If you have offended them, then God save you. You can try to pacify with them, but they will hate you even if you breathe. No, seriously. Even if there's no reason for hatred, they will find one. They will fixate and fixate, not just on you but everything that is remotely related to you and tag you on them.

They will spam you with cuss words, just to show how much they despise you.
What to do: Use the mute button and the block button--because this species of trolls just don't get it. And remember, haters gonna hate, so just let them be.

The Pundits a.k.a I-Know-It-All Trolls
They actually know it all. No, we were kidding, they don't. Which is why they will go to the ends of the earth to prove whatever ridiculous point they want to proof. Usually, these trolls have achieved nothing in life, but will scour through every social media platform to belittle other people.

What to do: Introduce them to Stephen Fry and BLOCK! Let them be completely stupefied by him!

The Genuinely Funny Ones
You must have seen trolls that either post memes in every argument or will use tongue-in-cheek humour to keep things light. Well, trolling isn't always negative, you see?

What to do: Keep them. They will come in handy on days you are tired of handling all the other trolls.

We wish we could put Avada Kedavra spell on these trolls, but well we don't live in Harry Potter world. Unfortunately. But, don't let these trolls get you down. You are a strong sensible opinionated woman and no troll in this world should shut you down!
