Name one thing you most definitely need to climb up the success larder. If you are about to say skill, then let us stop you right there. How about you take another guess? Did you say dedication? Well, that's not correct either.

Turns out all you need is good looks to draw a hefty salary. Yup, not dedication, skills, or aptitude. Just pure good looks!

In fact, more attractive lawyers and MBA graduates also make more moolah than an average Joe.

According to a study published in the Springer's Journal of Business and Psychology, good-looking people supposedly make more money and have a less gruelling time searching for a job.

Researchers at the Satoshi Kanazawa of the London School of Economics and Mary Still of the University of Massachusetts, Boston measured physical attractiveness of respondents during the study on a five-point scale.

It was found that healthier and more intelligent respondents than those with more conscientious, more extraverted, and less neurotic personality traits earned significantly more than others.

"Physically more attractive workers may earn more, not necessarily because they are more beautiful, but because they are healthier, more intelligent and have better personality traits conducive to higher earnings, such as being more conscientious, more extraverted and less Neurotic," said Kanazawa.

Well, who would have thought that physical attractiveness could help you land a high-paying job in sectors other than entertainment?
