Androgynous fashion has existed since 1800s, however it is still an alien subject in Indian stores. While, there are trousers available for women, they have habit of clinging to you in a way that makes you wonder if they are actually koala bears. No, I'm not exaggerating.

When you are an Indian girl who loves androgyny, or is androgynous, shopping experience can sometimes prove to be more like a nightmare. Well, you obviously have to maintain a tight budget and have to look the way you dream to look.

Obviously an Ellen Degeneres look is very hard to nail, so is Rihanna's, but a girl can dream, right? Apparently not. Here are four struggles that I endure because I want to dress androgynous. And before you judge me, let me tell you that looking dapper is more than just pantsuits, just saying!

Why Can't My Jeans Have Bigger Pockets?

I'm pretty sure this is a universal problem and every girl has lamented over this at least once in her life. I mean, isn't the whole objective of a pocket is to accommodate things? Hell--the jeans pocket nowadays can hardly even fir my hands in them, let alone phone. And have you even seen the sizes of our phones?

How can you ever fit those gigantic smartphones into those tiny pockets? Either jeans companies don't want women to keep phones or Nokia wants us to buy their old model, there's some cosmic conspiracy somewhere I tell you.

The Shirts Make Moving A Herculean Task

For a person who's petite, buying a nice fitted shirt is a task--a herculean task. Because either the shirt will be two sizes too small (despite being said to be of your size) or will be so tight that it won't let you move your arms.

Don't tell me you've never had the fear of your buttons coming undone because you want to stretch a little bit in the metro. *sigh*

Where's a Fitted Tuxedo When You're Looking For One

Even men in India don't wear tuxedos, because they think they will end up looking like waiters. Let's not even talk about tuxedos for women, because they just don't exist. Yes, you can go and tailored to your size, but that would involve buying the cloth, finding a tailor, and breathing down his neck as he stitches your expensive kapda. Too much work with little or no results.

Why Does Everything Have Sequins
Most of the clothes have sequins now a days, jackets, shirts, and even some jeans? What am I--twinkle little star? Sequins look sober when they are not trying to hurt your eyes, because well not everything is supposed to glitter in the first place.

I mean I do want to shine, but because of my dapper clothes, not for ridiculous golden globules on a jacket. If only someone understood androgyny. *sigh*
