7 childhood foods that this decade has totally ruined
Old is no longer gold.
They say, change is the essence of life, but that's not true when the change sucks the essence out of our much-loved classic foods from the 90s. After all, these foods were our childhood sweethearts, quite literally and the 90s wouldn't have been as colourful and memorable without them.
Unfortunately, with changing times, these foods have also been revamped. Here are 7 of them that aren't the same any more:
P.S. We miss the good old classics, we miss them dearly.
Frooti
Once upon a time, this refreshing mango drink was an absolute must-have post coming back home from school. But now that the all-new Frooti Fizz has taken the limelight away from it, we are deeply saddened. Mostly because, nothing can match up to the original taste.
Maggi Noodles
The world came to a standstill when Maggie stocks were taken off the market owing to its failure to meet the quality standards. But even though it's come back now, the taste is nowhere close to how it was way back then in the 90s.
Top Ramen Noodles
Our go-to substitute for Maggi has also undergone a change in its taste and left us heartbroken. The texture of the noodles is different now and the unnecessary new flavours like Peri Peri Chicken aren't exactly pleasing to the taste buds either.
Swad Candy
The digestive imli-flavoured candies unfortunately have lost their charm now. They are no longer as tangy and tasy as they used to be.

Dairy Milk
We can't believe how Cadbury ruined our forever-favourite chocolate-Dairy Milk by introducing the silkier, bubblier versions of the classic. We still love the plain Dairy Milk way more than its fancier counterparts.
Kellogg's Chocos and Corn Flakes
Mommy didn't have to run after us to ensure that we get our daily doze of calcium from that glass of the much-hated milk, all thanks to the crispy taste-maker bites of the time--chocos and corn flakes. Honestly, we were quite happy with the gold old snack, Kellogg's didn't have to introduce the excessively sweet fruity loops and strawberry, mango, and banana-flavoured corn flakes, we say.
McCain Smiles
The 90's birthday parties were incomplete without chow mein and well, those frozen potato smiles from McCain. The deep-fried crispy snack would simply bring a smile on all of our faces. However, if you plan to buy them now in order to revisit your childhood days, you'd be a tad bit disappointed with the new and different taste.
