6 struggles only women who drive on Indian roads can understand

You know you're going to be taken for a ride, if you're a woman behind the wheels.

Being a woman has its own set of struggles. There's waxing, tweezing, periods, boyfriends, and safety that we lose sleep over. But the list just doesn't end there.

There's one issue that may not as bad as all these, but pretty darn bad nonetheless--driving on Indian roads. You see, it is just like relationships: it sounds liberating, but is actually a pain in the ass.

To begin with, you have to deal with some serious 3-Idiots fans on the road who seem to have taken Viru Sahastrabudhhe's life-is-a-race philosophy way too seriously in life. Overtake one such idiot on an empty road, and suddenly overtaking you will become his life's agenda. Male ego, we tell you.

And then there are these scared-crows. We say scared because they keep their Maruti 800s at least a kilometre away from your car thinking, "ladki hai, thok degi". Now, we know who to blame in case we actually end up hitting their precious vehicles. After all, they called for it.

How can we forget the eternal vellas who magically appear out of nowhere to help you reverse your car?

And if in front of their eyes, you exhibit your brilliant parallel-parking skills, they almost get a heart attack. In which case, you must keep the ambulence's number on speed dial. Because even if they don't get a heart attack, the urge to get out and punch them in the face is hard to resist.

Last, and definitely the least are the creepy guys who stare. Now this maybe done in subtle forms by adjusting the mirrors or could be done blatantly.

And it gets worse if you happen to dance, yawn or stretch your body in your own private vehicle in a democratic country. How dare you!
