Here's how you can fall in love with beer, even if you don't like the way it tastes
Once you develop a taste for beer, there's no looking back.
After a week of hard work, all you look forward to is a night full of fun and friends and beer for company. After all, the subtle buzz and the flavoursome malty taste of this refreshing alcoholic beverage makes gloomy summer days bearable.
In fact, it's official now. According to a survey conducted by Crownit (a consumer group marketing and data platform), beer is the most loved form of alcohol across India.
While we sit here and talk about how amazing beer is, some of you may actually be cribbing about its bitter, pungent taste. Well ladies, no one likes it in the first go and you've got to develop a taste for it. However, if you haven't developed it yet, here's how you can still enjoy it:
Add a Fruity Punch To Your Beer
How about enjoying a citrus beer sangria on a bright sunny day? All you've got to do is to add a few slices of orange and lemon to that mug of beer and boom! Your sweet and sour drink is up for grabs. To conceal the bitterness of the beer further, you can even add orange juice or some powdered sugar to your drink.
If the sour, citric taste doesn't appeal to you, then you can increase the freshness quotient by adding your favourite berries to it. Each fruit will add its own flavour to the drink and make it even more refreshing.
Or a Salty One
You're definitely going to love this if you don't have a sweet tooth. Just add grated ginger, basil leaves, mint leaves, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a couple of sliced lemon pieces to your beer and enjoy the great taste of your beer gingerella.
Marinate With Beer
How about totally ditching the drinks for beer-flavoured snacks? All you've got to do is to add some beer to the marinating mixture and dip the chicken/ mutton/ cottage cheese/ soya chunks into it before frying or grilling it. The beer won't just lend its own distinct taste to the snack, but it will also make the chicken softer and fluffier.
Try Beer Desserts
Food and drinks are absolutely incomplete without a great dessert, we say. So fill half a glass with the bubbly beer and top it up with chocolate sauce and whipped cream for an Irish coffee inspired choco-beer mousse.
How About A Beer Popsicle?
Talking of all things sweet and summery, how can we forget about the cooling powers of beer and ice lollies ? Imagine what will happen when you combine the two. So, go ahead and create your own beer cocktail by adding your favourite fruits and flavours to your drink and simply freeze the mixture.
