What's a kickass day without having a hearty breakfast first thing in the morning? And what's a hearty breakfast without some poached eggs, cereal, and well--a generous doze of caffeine in the form of a cup of hot, frothy coffee ?

After all, there's nothing compared to the fresh aroma of those coffee beans that not only awakens you, but also inspires you to take on new challenges and literally own the day.

But what if we told you that there's a better, tastier alternative to your favourite morning beverage? One, that you will absolutely love-one that'll make you jump with excitement?

Without further delay, let's unveil the mystery for you. So here it is: Wine is the wonder drink that you can replace your morning coffee with. Yes, you read that right.

According to a report published in Independent, having a glass of your favourite wine instead of coffee along with your morning meal is a better choice to make.

Why? Well, apparently it is the more "adult" way of enjoying your breakfast, wherein you prove to be a "sensible drinker", who can drink "responsibly"--even during daytime. This way, you also know that you really don't need flaming shots and loud music to enjoy alcohol in life.

If you're still not convinced, the report further states that this culture that actually evolved from the beer-loving people's breakfast habits in the 16th century is still prevalent in many parts of Europe like France, Italy, and Spain. So you see, there is nothing "strange" about kick-starting your day with a mild doze of alcohol.

From a health point of view too, it is a perfectly legitimate choice as several researches have glorified the health benefits of wine including better digestion, cholesterol control, and prevention of heart diseases.

So yes, while that glass of wine might not be able to give you the energy-high that those espresso shots give, but it will certainly make your sandwiches, poached eggs, and paninis taste better. Go ahead and try it yourself.
