Bollywood babes are taking the 'write' way to garner fame. Glamour girls Kangna Ranaut , Kalki Koechlin and Lara Dutta are scripting stories for Hindi films.

No mainstream Bollywood actress has ever penned movie scripts in tinsel town. Also, the Hindi film industry has largely been dominated by male writers.

These glam girls are therefore all set to bring in a change.

Kangna has defined her attempt as a "woman-centric script", and is currently looking for a production house to make a film out of it. She has added that though her story is fictitious, she has drawn inspiration from incidents in her own life.

However, Kangna has added that her script isn't autobiographical.

She clears the air saying that she will reveal her life story at some point in the form of an autobiography but that's still some time away.

Dev. D actress Kalki Koechlin has co- written her boyfriend Anurag Kashyap's next, That Girl In Yellow Boots. Kalki, who also stars in the film, says that Anurag had a basic idea in mind that he told her to develop further.

Kalki's script is touted to be a mystery thriller, and the actress has said she is lackadaisical about writing. "Anurag pushed me. He wouldn't let me sleep and would make me edgy - a trait that the characters in That Girl In Yellow Boots share," Kalki said.

Kalki, who shot to fame with her role of Chanda, isn't completely new to the art of writing though.

Before the film script, she had co-scripted a play, The Skeleton Woman. "Stories come naturally to me. I enjoy writing," Kalki said.

Reports suggest that Lara Dutta too is all set with her first film script. The ex- beauty queen has said she chose to write the script because scriptwriters in Bollywood aren't offering anything substantial for women.

"Women- oriented movies are half- baked attempts at feminist statements," she said. "My script has equal space for the male and female protagonists. It's not a feminist film in an in- your- face way, though," added Lara.

Some time ago, reports suggested that Lara was set to make her directorial debut with her script. It was suggested that the actress would helm a romantic drama. But Lara soon clarified on Twitter that she wasn't turning director yet.

The buzz is that Rani Mukherjee is also planning to make her debut as a director with a script she has penned.

Reports suggest that Rani's film is expected to hit the floors next year and will be produced by the Yash Raj Films.
