Drink beer, not milk says PETA. Apparently the brew is healthier

PETA isn't just saving animals, it is also saving us from our early-morning-glass-of-milk-woes too--or so it seems.

Throwback to our childhood days when our mothers would run after us with a glass of the most unappetizing and uninviting drink of our times--milk. Didn't it make you want to puke right back into the glass? Well, there's obviously a reason mommy had to run after us, in the first place.

But, there's a major breakthrough of sorts for all those whose hatred for milk still continues, despite the Bournvita, the Milo, and more recently--the Patanjali Enaargy Buster (energy booster). According to PETA's recent ad campaign, beer is healthier than milk. And fortunately, there is legit science to back the claim.

Beer is Good for Your Bones

This delightful claim is backed by journals from Harvard's School of Public Health, mind it. Studies further state that beer can extend your lifespan. In fact, your mother's beloved drink, milk, is linked to obesity, diabetes, and cancer, unlike your beloved, beer (which, by the beats milk, hands down, taste-wise and after-effects-wise, any given day!).Furthermore, consumption of dairy foods has been linked to conditions such as acne, excess mucus, and symptoms of lactose intolerance, such as flatulence. There is even evidence that dairy foods can cause depletion of bone mass.

So if you're not scared of getting slapped, or chucked out of the house, you can ask mommy to serve you chilled beer for breakfast instead. Tell her she won't even have to run, if she's still not convinced.

No Animals Are Ever Harmed While Brewing Beer
Have you ever thought about the massive scale animal suffering behind your huge glass of mango shake? What suffering you ask? Well, here's a low-down. Cows give milk only when they give birth, so they are injected with hormones in order to increase their milk production. Not to mention, calves are typically torn away from their mothers within a day of birth, causing extreme distress for the mother and child alike.

Thinking of Switching Already? Here's the Buzz-Killer

Yes, the very idea of having beer minus the worries is dreamy. But if you keep your emotions on the backseat and read the studies carefully, you'll realize the depth of this one simple sentence used almost everywhere: Moderate beer consumption can be healthier than milk. MODERATE CONSUMPTION.

Secondly, even the most serious alcohol aficionados will agree to the fact that consuming beer everyday might not make you feel too good in life. Plus, the buzz that you get might end up landing you in the hospital instead of your office. If not that, then you can't exactly rule out the possibility of a hangover or let's just say after effects such as nausea and sluggishness, to name a few.

Also, PETA has mentioned other options such as soy milk and juices but who cares when there's alcohol on the list?  But you've got to choose wisely and live healthy, right? RIGHT!
