What's one line that scares the s**t out of you? We bet it is log kya kahenge? Yup, the three words that are the bane of your existence. So, every time you want to go out with your friends for a night out or want to wear a dress of your choice or want to take up photography instead of Economics, this log kya kahenge crops up and dampens for all heart's desires. Right? And that's not even the worst part. It's preposterous when you become an adult harbouring the same log kya kahenge syndrome that you once resisted. Well, but all is not lost.

You can still overcome this mental block and carry on with your life without expectations and caution weighing you down. Yup, here's what you should do to get over it:

Listen To The Song Kuch Toh Log Kahenge On a Loop

Well, you must have heard the song Kuch Toh Log Kahenge from the film Amar Prem starring Rajesh Khanna. Now, do yourself a favour and play it on a loop. You see, there exists no other influencer as great as cinema. You want to drill home a message, make sure you it's conveyed via silver screen or in form of a heart-wrenching soundtrack. No, really. It works like magic. Believe it or not, you'll identify with every word in the song and it's going to fill you up with new vigour.

Still don't believe us? Go ahead, give this trick a try.

Count How Many Years You Are Left With To Live

So, according to statistics released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the life expectancy of an average Indian female is 69 years. Now, count how many years you are left with. Do you want to spend the remaining time of your life thinking what others are thinking about you or enjoying your life to the fullest? Well, it's not hard to guess what you should pick.

Be a Little Selfish. There's Nothing Wrong With It

Only selfishness can beat self-validation that you seek all the time. So, if you want to want to attempt something that's a little unconventional and the only thought that's holding you down is log kya kahenge, then try to turn on your selfish mode. And by that we mean don't give a rat's ass to what others have to say to you. Just focus on your needs and your desires. If there's something you want to do, just do it. Remember, you owe much greater happiness to yourself. So, quit making other's happy and keep your priorities straight.

Imagine The Worst Case Scenario

That doesn't sound very comforting, does it? But, it's imperative that you actually give a thought to your worst fears.  Imagine this: your parents are forcing you to get hitched because according to them you are well past your marriageable age. Then there's peer pressure and everyone around you is tying the knot and popping kids. So, you end up thinking what everyone will think of you if you don't do the same.

Now, imagine the worst thing that could happen to you. Say, you give into the pressure and take a wrong decision just out of fear of log kya kahenge. Isn't this thought really scary? Don't bulldoze yourself into doing something just to keep up appearances. After all, it's you who has to pay the price.

It's None Of Your Damn Business

Really woman, it's none of your God damn business what others think of you. It's their problem. Anyhow, are you really that stupid that you would give up on your dreams to sort out what's going on in their minds?

You see, everyone is entitled to an opinion and there's nothing you can do or should do to alter that. Let people say what they want to say. You just carry on with your business.
