Katrina Kaif's sari at the IIFA Awards is worse than a second-hand curtain. She should take ethnic-fashion lessons from Taapsee Pannu and Alia Bhatt
Katrina Kaif just ruined saris for us.
There's something severely wrong with Katrina Kaif and her stylist these days. From making some unimpressive outfit choices during the promotions of Jagga Jasoos to turning up in an absolutely unflattering dress at the IIFA press conference, the actress just can't seem to get her fashion game right.
However, we were still hoping that she would break out of her drab-fashion rut at the IIFA Awards' green carpet. But she failed to impress even at the do.
Katrina wore a bright-red ruffled sari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla with a detailed gold peek-a-boo blouse.
If her OTT sari wasn't enough to give us a headache, she made it even worse by sporting side-swept, shabby hair and bright-red lips adding to the chaos of her already messed-up look. In fact, she didn't seem satisfied with the all the shine and brightness and went on to wear a pair of golden danglers as well.
As much as it breaks our hearts to say this, but Katrina seriously looked like a fashion disaster as she made her way to the event. There wasn't even one single thing about her look that looked even merely seemed pleasing to the eye. In fact, her look was so disappointing that it literally shook our faith in the 9-yard classic.
Alia wore an elegant Manish Malhotra lehenga and literally sizzled in the subdued, embroidered number.
If only Katrina had opted for a more toned-down sari or lehenga like Alia's, she wouldn't have looked as disastrous as she did.
In fact, she could have even gone for a more flattering Indo-western gown like Taapsee's and finished her look with a neater and more experimental hairstyle instead of her good-old side-swept hair.
Even though we are heartbroken right now, we still hope that Katrina makes up for this and turns heads with some stellar fashion statements in future.
