I don't know what's worse--Shraddha Kapoor's dress or Half Girlfriend's trailer
Not that a more stylish look from Shraddha would have made the film's trailer better, but what's the harm in hoping?
I have never been one of those people who laments over wasted time. In fact, I can often be found staring into oblivion, playing inane games on the Internet, watching nonsensical films like Tashan and Aflatoon, and doing other related things that count as wiling away time.
However, after watching the trailer of Half Girlfriend, I seriously wished for a time machine so that I could go back and reserve those 2 minutes and 43 seconds for better things. Yup, that's how bad the film's trailer is.
Sure, Half Girlfriend has the makings of a classic Bollywood love story. It has everything that audiences yearn for: a hero who believes in the power of unrequited love; a heroine who can't decide what the f**k she wants and wears short clothes; and Chetan Bhagat. Will it do good at the box office? Of course! Will it mess with the heads of impressionable cine goers heads who consider Bollywood to be their holy grail? Definitely.
But what's worse than the film's appalling trailer, is it's female lead's outfit at the launch.
Shraddha Kapoor is a good-looking woman, with a pretty impressive, even if conventional, dressing style.
So why exactly she chose to wear this asymmetrical halter to dress to the trailer launch of Half Girlfriend is beyond me. Perhaps it's the allure of the brand--the dress is Fendi after all.
Or maybe it was the thrill of going backless.
In either case, the dress does absolutely nothing for Shraddha's body type. And the ribbons make it seem like a designer apron.
Shraddha's ensembles won't make the movie any better, but at least they can give us something pretty to look at!
